Items are marked "Due Soon" when they fall within any of these windows. These settings affect the dashboard count, task list highlighting, and PDF reports.
Used to project when inspections and tasks are coming due. The inspections table on each aircraft page sorts by projected due date using these rates. Set per-aircraft rates if your fleet has mixed utilization.
Automatically backs up your database and uploaded files to a folder called AeroLog Backups in your Google Drive. Requires the desktop version of AeroLog.
▸ How to connect Google Drive (one-time setup)
AeroLog needs permission to upload files to your Google Drive. This is a one-time setup that takes about 10 minutes.
- Go to console.cloud.google.com and sign in with your Google account.
- Click Select a project → New Project.
Name it
AeroLog, click Create. - In the left menu: APIs & Services → Library. Search for Google Drive API and click Enable.
- Go to APIs & Services → OAuth consent screen.
Choose External, fill in App name (
AeroLog) and your email, save. - Go to APIs & Services → Credentials →
Create Credentials → OAuth client ID.
Choose Desktop app, name it
AeroLog, click Create. - Click Download JSON. Rename the file to
gdrive_client.json. - Place
gdrive_client.jsonin your AeroLog data folder:
C:\Users\[YourName]\AppData\Local\AeroLog\ - Come back here and click Connect Google Drive. A browser window will open asking you to sign in — allow access.
After that, all backups happen automatically. You never need to do this again.

TASK LIST
HELP & GUIDE
Welcome to AeroLog — aircraft maintenance tracking built for owners, pilots, and technicians. Follow these steps to get set up.
- Add your aircraft — click + ADD AIRCRAFT on the Fleet page. Enter your tail number, make, model, year, and current airframe hours and landings. For multi-engine or turbine aircraft, enter engine times and cycles as well.
- Import your maintenance program — go to Import Data in the sidebar. Upload a PDF status report from CAMP or Traxxall, or upload a CSV using the AeroLog template. AeroLog parses your tasks, intervals, and last-completed dates automatically.
- Review your tasks — open your aircraft from the Fleet page, then use the Task List button to review all imported items. You can edit any task, correct intervals, or mark items as N/A.
- Log maintenance events — when work is completed, click + LOG EVENT on the aircraft detail page. You can link completed tasks to the event and AeroLog will automatically advance their due dates.
- Generate reports — click the Reports button on any aircraft detail page to generate a Due List, Status Report, or Aircraft Record PDF.
Keep these current — they drive all interval calculations. Update them when logging a maintenance event or after a flight using the Edit button on the aircraft detail page.
Turbine aircraft track engine hours and cycles separately from airframe time. Engine-specific tasks (chip detectors, oil changes, hot section inspections) use the engine's own clock rather than total airframe time.
Each task has a time source — Airframe, Engine 1, Engine 2, or APU. This controls which hours are used to calculate remaining time and overdue status. It is set automatically on import and can be changed when editing a task.
Squawks are aircraft discrepancies reported by pilots or technicians. They are logged from the Squawks tab on the aircraft detail page and can have three statuses: Open, Deferred, or Closed.
Set a MEL category to defer a squawk. AeroLog calculates the repair-by date automatically using the midnight rule — the interval clock starts at 00:01 the day after the deferral date. Category repair intervals: A = operator defined, B = 3 calendar days, C = 10 calendar days, D = 120 calendar days.
Open your aircraft from the Fleet page, then click Edit in the aircraft header. Update airframe hours, landings, and engine times. AeroLog immediately recalculates all remaining times and statuses.
Go to the aircraft's Task List, find the task, and click Sign Off. Enter the completion date, airframe hours, and landings. AeroLog calculates the next due date from the interval and creates a maintenance event automatically.
Yes — open your aircraft detail page and click 🔑 Manage Access. Enter the user's AeroLog username or email address. They must already have a free AeroLog account. You can grant full write access or read-only access.
After your 30-day trial, your aircraft data is preserved but becomes read-only. You can still view all tasks and generate reports. Subscribe to a plan from the Account page to restore full access.
Yes. Each subscription covers one aircraft. Subscribe once per aircraft — all of them appear together in your fleet dashboard.
Go to Account in the sidebar and find the Due Soon Thresholds card. Set your preferred calendar days, hours remaining, and landings remaining windows. These settings affect the dashboard counts, task list highlighting, and reports.
