Plain-language summary: AeroLog stores only what you enter. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose other than providing you with aircraft maintenance tracking. We do not use tracking cookies.
1. Who We Are
AeroLog ("AeroLog," "we," "us," or "our") is an aircraft maintenance tracking platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our service at aerolog.paysnord.com.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only information you directly provide:
- Account information โ username, email address, and hashed password (we never store your password in plain text)
- Aircraft and maintenance data โ tail numbers, aircraft times, inspection records, maintenance events, squawks, and any other data you enter into the system
- Usage preferences โ utilization rates, threshold settings, and display preferences you configure
- Billing information โ subscription status processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full credit card number
We do not collect:
- Cookies of any kind โ tracking, session, or otherwise
- Browser fingerprints or device identifiers
- Location data
- Behavioral analytics or ad-targeting data
- Data from third-party sources
No cookies. AeroLog does not use cookies. Authentication is handled via server-side sessions. No tracking pixels, no analytics cookies, no third-party scripts that set cookies.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to:
- Provide and operate the AeroLog maintenance tracking service
- Send transactional emails you request (password resets, subscription confirmations)
- Respond to your support requests
- Process subscription payments through Stripe
- Improve reliability and fix bugs (via server error logs, which do not contain aircraft data)
4. We Do Not Sell Your Data
We do not sell, rent, lease, or share your personal information or your aircraft maintenance data with any third party for commercial purposes โ ever. Your maintenance records are your business records. They belong to you.
5. Data Sharing
We share data only in these limited circumstances:
- With users you invite โ when you grant another AeroLog user access to your aircraft, they can view your data as you've specified
- With Stripe โ solely for payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy applies to that data
- With Resend โ solely for transactional email delivery (password resets, welcome emails). No marketing data
- As required by law โ if compelled by valid legal process
We do not share data with advertisers, data brokers, analytics companies, or any other commercial third parties.
6. Data Security
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption
- Passwords are hashed using bcrypt โ we cannot recover your password
- Your data is stored on Railway's infrastructure with encrypted storage
- Access to production systems is limited to essential personnel only
7. Data Retention and Deletion
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. When you delete your account:
- All aircraft records, maintenance events, inspections, and squawks are permanently deleted
- Your user account and preferences are permanently deleted
- Deletion is irreversible โ we do not maintain backups of deleted accounts
You may request deletion of your account at any time from the Account page within the application, or by contacting us at the address on the Contact page.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access โ export all of your data at any time from the Account page
- Correction โ edit any information within the application
- Deletion โ permanently delete your account and all associated data
- Portability โ download your maintenance data as CSV files (ZIP archive) from the Account page
9. Children's Privacy
AeroLog is not directed at persons under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
10. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you by email and update the effective date above. Continued use of AeroLog after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
